DM Toolkit for OpenOffice.org Calc

Hello everyone!
I've been playing D&D4E for awhile now, and I've noticed that I have certain needs while DM'ing that I simply can't find anything to really cover. I looked around and found various things for character or monster creation, but nothing really directed at running a game. We've cobbled together some things as a group that have helped out, but I thought it would be great to have one thing up on my screen with all or most of the information that I really need just to run my games.

So I came up with the DM toolkit.

It's an OpenOffice.org file with macros, so you'll need to download that program from their site if you don't already have it (it's free), and you'll need to enable macros from your options for some of the functionality to work.

So now I have an initiative setter, HP and status trackers, treasure parcel generator, skill challenge tracker and even a random die roller all on one page.

So feel free to jump in and play around with it, and give me any feedback either here or through the email address provided in the document. :)

Note: some functionality I could put in but have not and will not simply due to copyright issues, I don't believe I have violated WoTC's copyright with any of this and have no intention of pushing the boundaries there. If you want to add in things like monsters or items that's wholly up to you.

My main use for my OO spreadsheet is to deal with the bookkeeping aspects of my campaign. I can enter in monsters to make an encounter at a target level/party size, total up XP rewards, and track who has what treasure and what parcels it corresponds to (more or less). Pretty ugly though, haven't organized things much. Still, maybe some useful stuff. I'll try this out for a game I will be running offline though, it will be a lot more useful there ;) Thanks.

Maybe it's because I'm trying to open in Excel (but I doubt it, since Excel recognizes the file type and converts it just fine), but it's telling me I need to provide a password since the file's been locked. =/

The sheets of the document are locked, and I've provided passwords for each under the version sheet. I haven't tested the file in excel, I doubt much of the functionality will pass over anyway, though I may work on an excel version later down the line. I guess excel is treating the entire document as locked. :/

I'm looking for a way to add either radio buttons or check boxes for situations calling for a distinction such as a yes/no for marked characters. I'm not looking for it to be functional with any formulas or macros at this time, I just want the check box.

However I'm having a lot of difficulty finding a method of doing this in OpenOffice.org. :-S Any assistance in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

I'm actually looking to add some of this functionality in the future, and any input would be greatly appreciated.

And I don't have even wi-fi access at the place we usually game, so online tools are of no use to me, thus this toolkit. :D

I did some play testing with my live group last night and I made a list of some needed changes.

And I've even found a few bugs that need fixing.

Look for an update to this soon.
