DMing 24 hours after release! Am I nuts?

When 3e came out I DMed a game six hours before release; as a demo game in the FLGS.
IIRC the only rule we got wrong was that one of the players was using a d10 for attack rolls instead of a d20. Once he replaced his dice his character became a lot more effective.

I'm a little curious as to why you're so worried about getting anything "wrong" by reading the PHB Lite stuff...

I've been running the game costantly since DDXP, and I plan to run Keep on the Shadowfell, and run a game at my store on Jun 7. It's all good practice. I'll be reading the books as close to cover-to-cover as soon as possible, quite specifically to correct anything "wrong" with how I've been playing it. I don't expect it to make much of a difference beyond tweaking.

"Oh, concealment gives minuses to the attacker instead of positives to defender"
"Oh! Standing from prone DOES provoke Opp Attacks!"
"Oh there really ISN'T a Staggered condition in the RPG"

That sort of thing.

I'd certainly rather do that then try to learn the whole thing from scratch over night.

Either way, good luck! And have fun!
