Coming at you like an April Shower to wash away the blues (or green pollen), we have the latest DM’s Guild Roundup! As always we like to showcase items and do reviews of DM’s Guild products that don’t always get the spotlight. New from Wizards / Guild Adepts

Hagmalgams By James Introcaso.

With only one new supplement from the Adepts this time, I thought I would summarize it. This is a new monster book that combines hags with celestials. It gives us eight new, uhm, creatures to add to our campaigns. Not only does this sound delightful, but it offers up eight examples for other DM’s to experiment with in their own games.

This Looked Interesting

GULGO-13 An Eberron Salvage Mission for Oracle of War
By: Christian Eichhorn, John D. Parker

Normally we do not review any VTT material, but this looks great. It is a module made to work with Fantasy Grounds, but there is a PDF version as well. In this time of quarantine, we may well cover more of these products. Let us know!

Gulgo-13 is a four to five-hour salvage mission designed for three to seven 1st - 5th level characters and is optimized for five characters with an average party level (APL) of 3. This adventure is created in accordance with the Oracle of War: Salvage Bases and Missions supplement and is legal for D&D Adventurers League play when used as part of the Oracle of War campaign. To run this adventure, you need a copy of the Oracle of War: Salvage Bases and Missions.

Extended Review

The Blood Hunter: A Two-Hour Blood Hunter One-On-One Adventure
By: Anthony Joyce

The Blood Hunter is an adventure designed to be played one-on-one. That is to say, one DM and one player, the player taking on the role of a member of the Blood Hunter class. The class was created by Matthew Mercer, but the author of The Blood Hunter has built an adventure around the class, giving fans something tailored for them. A PDF of this product was provided to EN World.

From an aesthetic point of view, the adventure is well laid out with excellent artwork. The DM notes are not jarring, but eye catching enough to not be missed. Gordon McAlpin’s cover (coloring by Rebecca McConnell) and interior art is excellent. The presentation is professional and the adventure well organized. There are four parts to the adventure and several appendices.

The Blood Hunter begins with a tone setting chapter regarding a werewolf before moving back to the town of Phandelvin, where the main adventure picks up. The player picks up a halfling side-kick (of course) and then sets out on their quest. I suspect the adventure may run a bit long with new players and DMs; even experienced players should find plenty of content to keep them busy as well. There is ample opportunity for role-playing and although the adventure is linear (as most adventures are), the character gets to make some choices and decide how to deal with the various obstacles in their way.

Even if it were only for the one-on-one play aspect, I would recommend grabbing this adventure. As it is, The Blood Hunter gets an amazing 5 flaming swords out of 5 for its thoughtful approach and professional, yet artistic, aesthetics. Definitely grab yourself a copy.
