I updated sheet, so Jack of All Trades and Remarkable Athlete bonus are now added to Initiative value.
Also I added Eladrin and Aasimar

I updated the sheet.

This are the changes

Ver.1.08 (December, 13.2014.)
  • Sheet now works in Foxit reader and Phantom
    [*]Reduced file size for about 200kb
    [*]Added weight values for armor and shields
    [*]Added extra (double) fields for spells on fourth page
    [*]Added fields on fourth page (Spell DC, casting ability, spells memorized...) for multiclass casters (ie. Wizard/Druid)
    [*]Removed Sex/gender field on first page. There is gender field on second page.
    [*]Added two combo fields for calculating total weight on character (Coins weight, fourth inventory column weight)
  • Added button for clearing portrait image (doesn't work in Foxit, yet)
  • Reader version of sheet is no longer needed. One version to rule them all

Feel free to report if any bug translates to this version. I had to rewrite some parts of code to make it work in Foxit reader. I tested the sheet but there are lots of fields so it's very possible that some bug evaded my watchful gaze :)

Couple of days ago, I got a request if I would implement ability score generator into the sheet. So I thought about it, and decided that it's worth a shot. Now, there are two sheet versions. One have generator, other don't. So use what you want :)

Hi Madbeard,

Let me start by saying thank you for the excellent character sheet. The Encounters group that I run has many new players and your sheet has greatly improved the learning curve for them.

I do have one request, can you add the optional Stats of Honor and Sanity, and a box to record a Hero Point (It could be next to the Inspiration Point), as mentioned in the DMG? All three could be entered manually, and they do not affect any other calculations.

Waooohh so many improvement in so short time!
Again thanks for this sheet, each of my player and co-players love this sheet.

I just like to remark that the box to add a picture only allow *.pdf and no *.jpg or other image standard on Acrobat Reader, everything is Ok on Phantom or Foxit.

Thanks for the remark but I already mentioned in Readme.pdf. Current version of Acrobat reader doesn't support image import, so there is nothing I can do about it :)

Btw. Congratulations on gold medal in handball world championship. Again :D

This is another great sheet. My only complaint is that the Race & Class features section is a bit too small (at least for a low-level Rogue or Bard). With a Human Rogue/Bard at level 6 I can fill up the whole section. If I were playing another race I'm not sure there would be enough room.

Yeah I know that race&class features section is bit small, so I put race features in Notes section and class features in race&class features section. This way I don't have space problem.
It is not my design so unfortunately I can't change graphical layout. I just did auto calculating-fillable form.

Hi guys.

I did another sheet update. This one is somewhat bigger than those before

Here is changelog:

  • Ver.1.14 (April, 16.2015.)
    - Added big text box fields. Added toggle buttons for those fields. Toggles between line by line mode or big text box mode.
    - Added button which inserts race traits in Race trait box. It depends on current race/subrace selection.
    - Languages are now automatically selected based on race/subrace selection.
    - Speed is now automatically selected based on race/subrace selection.
    - Changed layout of HP fields. - Added Heal button and Clear HD button.
    - Added advantage/disadvantage checkboxes for Passive perception and Investigation.
    - Vision is not hardcoded anymore.
    - Ability score cap is now 30 instead of 20.
    - Fixed bug with Remarkable Athlete.
There are lot of changes so check it out.
Biggest change is that I implemented big text box instead of line by line format based on popular demand. I didn't want to completly get rid of line by line format, so I implemented both. So choose your poison
Another big change is that I implemented posibility to insert race traits with single click.

I also provided my character from Tyranny of Dragons campaign as a sample.

So, here you go. Enjoy and please let me know if I screwed something

For Day speed, you have "mph" but it's actual "miles per day" so I think I would just go with "miles".

Thanks for reporting. It's a typo. These values are not autocalculated, they are just suggested because many characters will have those speed values. So you can just delete that and write what you want.
Please let me know if you find another bug/typo :)

I'll add them eventually when more new things will be out. It's not that crucial at the moment and you can always write it yourself. You're not limited to those choices in dropdown but skills won't be automaticaly selected based on background and you must choose them manualy.

I juste love the big boxes and the new improvement, so thanks thanks and thanks.

Unfortunately I found a bug while importing, my character is a 1.13 version and when I export it to a 1.14 a message appear and signal incorrect values.

And when I look every stats equal 30 and every skill 100.
I don't know why...

And unfornately too I love every in-line text while importing.

I attached the file the Karan 1.13, the export and the final version if it may help.

Hmmm interesting. I did couple of imports to new version and didn't encounter any bugs.
No problem SLN. I'll take a look and import in 1.14 ver for you. I'm done with my job and I'm going home, so expect this later today. If I don't hook on wasteland 2. Again :D

FYI I use Foxit In french on a french computer so maybe it may cause some disturbance du to the keyboard and system setting.

And thanks for the import it's really nice of you.

Here you go SLN. I imported to 1.14. I didn't have a problem with importing but when I tried to save, Foxit crashed. Fortunately Foxit manage to save before crash. Then I imported to fresh sheet and is working fine. At least for me. Hope that will work for you.


Btw. you had a wrong max HP. You had 8, but you should have 10. You forgot to add CON bonus :)
