DnD High Fashion - What does your PC Wear?

That rocks! And I suppose that order follows the "Eightfold Profitable Path"?

Back to the topic... my only D&D PC at the moment is Plundarr, the pirate-barbarian captain of the airship currently called the "Serenity Ow". His standard outfit is a loincloth, boots of levitation, a jack of studded leather worn open, and, of course, the symbol of his command, a tricorne hat. Sometimes he wears an eye patch, but that's just an affectation. His weapons are the longbow, scimitar, and the puerile delight he takes in being relentlessly offensive.

My other PC is in a M&M2e supers game... his name is Joseirus, the Egyptian God of Mexican Wrestling. While fighting crime he goes shirtless, wearing faded brown corduroys, a pair of Chuck Taylors, and a wrestler's mask of beaten gold and lapis lazuli. BTW, he's a chubby, 5'1' 14 year-old Latino kid from LA.

The character I spend the most time with lately is best known as Vyth. (His actual name is a little long to type out here.)

As a Dragonborn Favored Soul of Bahamut, he has to put the best foot forward at all times. Since part of his progression is Duelist, he doesn't have to wear armor and can always dress the part.

So he typically roams around in dark breeches, thigh-high swashbuckling boots, a fine silken shirt, and a purple broad-brimmed hat with a leopard print band around the base and a feather stuck in it. (It has been dubbed the purple pimp-hat out of character.)

He considers this to be running around in rather high style. :)

Anyway the subcultures thread got me thinking about what PCs wear.
Do you pay any attention to their outfits and try to cultivate a particular style?

Do you have characters in jerkins, tights and ornamental codpeices?

Do they were trousers and shirts or tartan kilts and sporran or plaid great blankets or fur loincloths or sation sarongs or silk kimonos or bark cloth pareu?

Anyone want to discuss DnD World of High Fashion

Clothing, armor, ornamentation, and appearance in general, are one of the most important aspects of every single one of my characters. I start a character concept with a drawing, and go from there. I spent 5 hours last night crafting the image of my current Grey Elven Duskblade's Razored Mithral Heavy Shield of Bashing:

I'll be working on his Elven Mithral Full Plate of Nimbleness tonight. Now that's going to take me a lot longer than 5 hours to do, probably over a week to get it right.

I draw all of my characters throughout their careers, changing their attire and armor

and detailing their hairstyles.

It's one of the most important parts of the fun of gaming for me.
