DnD in Singapore?

I know I should probably just google and work my way out of this but....

I'm going to be posted to Singapore in a few weeks for an undetermined period of time (work stuff). Only been there once, I understand some stuff is restricted (porn, certain novels, illegal copywrited material) does DnD/roleplaying games fall into that category?

Also are there any roleplaying shops there?
Anything else I should know about?

Hi Graf, permit me to welcome you to Singapore in advance.

D&D and other RPGs do not fall into the category of stuff that is restricted in Singapore, unless they happen to contain otherwise objectionable material. Since I happen to have a copy of both the Book of Vile Darkness and the Book of Exalted Deeds, a bit of suggestive artwork probably isn't going to be a problem. It might be safer to leave the Book of Erotic Fantasy behind though, should you happen to have a copy.

There are a few roleplaying shops here, mostly in the main shopping areas. One chain of stores, Comics Mart, has outlets in Serene Centre, Raffles City and Orchard Cineleisure. Two other shops where you can get RPG stuff are Paradigm Infinitum in Midpoint Orchard and Absolute Comics, in Bugis Junction. The Borders in Wheelock Place also stocks some RPG books. The names of these locations may not mean much to you right now, but you can ask around when you get here.

Finally, you might want to have a look at The Singapore Dungeons & Dragons Meetup Group, which I happen to organize. You can contact me via email or on the messageboard there (it has much less traffic than ENWorld, so your posts will take some time to drop off the first page) and I can show you around when you're here.
