Just to chime in here. I originally heard September 29 as well, but the most recent date I have read is September 26. At least this appears to be the release dates for Australia, Canada, the US, and the UK. That does seem to be a firm date, as more and more people are hearing confirmation from their local stores, at least according to threads on the WotC messageboards.

Sept. 26 is still the release date. According to a couple of my sales reps, it is now at the distributors, who are starting to ship to arrive on friday.

I got a hold of one of the entry packs a little early. And while the quality of the miniatures is ok, the scale is way off when compared to my huge collection of other minis. Especially in comparison to my Reaper collection. If I didn't have any miniatures and was looking to get started, I'd collect these things in a sec. As it stands now, my ten year old is having a ball with them.
