If you haven't seen them, many of the Marines recruiting commercials these days have something of a D&D theme about them.

So do the commercials from Skittles and Capital One and some hair-drying company. WTF is going on?

If you see a Marine with nice hair who pays for his new GE kitchen with a Capital One Mastercard while eating Skittles, he's guaranteed to be a gamer. Lesson learned.

There is a huge thread about this... somewhere.... but yeah... it gives all of us single gamers hope! :D

The other thread is back in the Fantasy/Sci-FI TV/Movie/Book forum. (there are two actually - one of the title lines is a bit more obvious than the other though).

There have been a couple others in the General Forum but they've mostly been closed and referenced back to the one in the TV forum :)

Model girlfriends are rarely model girlfriends. I lived with a playmate for a while, but as she was a bit of a ho, there was surprisingly little interest there. Anybody who needs a friggin spreadsheet to keep track of all the doods she's... well, you get the idea. Nice girl though.

:) He's right.

I've always believed that it is the hidden gems that shine the brightest. <------ That's a metaphor for those of you who flunked English your senior year.:D

Nuts, here I thought this thread was about the long-ago mentioned "DnD TV Series", mabye an update on if it's still going to make an appearance, and when this might be.

I'm still edgy about that show, torn between wanting to see DnD on TV (Hey, it's gotta be better 'n Zena, right? :p) and scared at just how badly it could be done.

So, anyone heard any more rumors? Care to post a link to any threads that'd have more info on the TV forum for those of us too lazy to go and acutaly look for ourselfs? ;)

If you're referring to the Forgotten Realms TV show, I think someone asked Ed Greenwood about it at a con and it sounded like it was about as dead as could be.

I doubt there'd be any DnD based TV series. It still has quite a bit of notoriety as being Satanic, as far as I know.

Even despite things like Zena and Hercules and Roar.
