D&D General DnDbeyond AMA tomorrow (Tues, Dec 9)

Same! I'm starting to use Maps every session even though I'm a hardcore miniatures/terrain enthusiast. I like having a map of the city or region open for the players, and being able to have handouts and art pop up will be amazing.

It's funny that Maps started as this kinda "Oh, by the way..." thing that seemed like it was just supposed to tide us over until the 3dVTT, and now it's become the thing. Still included at no extra charge, which is fantastic - my DDB master tier subscription is, by far, the best value for my entertainment dollar of my entire life.
Yep! I hear you! My miniatures are languishing forlorn in their containers because Maps is just so much quicker and easier. There are still a few quality-of-life features I'd like them to add, but given how actively they are working on it, I'm sure they'll get around to those things eventually (I'm talking about things like a CTRL-Z undo function, layers, that sort of thing).

And yeah, at first it was just kind of like, "Oh that's kind interesting" but now it's turned into such a useful tool. I never really saw the appeal of the 3D VTT anyway.

Hmm, I generally like D&D Beyond, but a broader D&D AMA would be a lot more useful.
True- and to confuse things, DnDB has been WotC's DnD mouthpiece some time after it was acquired. Or maybe it's not supposed to be confusing, and all DnD news comes from DnDB :)
So maybe the DnDB AMA is supposed to be for DnD too?
edit: Reading over the announcement it seems like it's just an AMA for the DnDB folk so... I guess just DnDB :D

Sorry, it may be almost off-topic and it could be a stupid idea but... do you think WotC could publish D&D-Beyond like a game-mode within Fortnite in the future? If Fortnite will become a videogame-store app then this could be used to sell some VTT.
