Do All of Your RPG Maps Now Belong To Judges Guild? ... and more?

Appreciate you! That's... quite unfortunate. I wonder if it's just the son, or if it was the father as well. Grappling with the ethics of stuff you like made by people you wouldn't (because they're awful) is always tough.
For what it's worth, I've seen people who knew the elder Bob who say he would be appalled by his son's and grandson's feeds.

Geez. It's like Bledsaw Jr woke up and thought "What can I do today to absolutely incinerate the tiny bit of remaining good will that people have toward my company?" Well, good job, Bob. NAILED IT.
I can think of worse options he could have chosen, but they all involve live-streaming cannibalism.
I believe Marc Miller holds all the Traveller rights these days and licenses them out to Mongoose among others and still occasionally puts out his own material for T5.
Think it's moved beyond licenses now. I'm pretty sure Mongoose has had various rights sold/transferred to them permanently, but perhaps I misunderstood the news story a while back.

One thing occurs to me. You know those icosahedral planet maps with hex grids? The ones Game Designers' Workshop designed for Traveller? They might be able to lay claim to being an original invention, but who would own the rights now? The current holder of the Traveller IP?

It's a variant of Dymaxion projection, developed by Buckminster Fuller and made public in 1954. Dymaxion is the same projection to faces, but arranges the faces to minimize continent splits on maps of earth.

I am unsure if we hold rights to that specific shape of map, but I focus more on the DMCA side of things (ex. uploads to Anyflip etc). Matt would be able to clarify :)

Interesting. I found it easier to do so because of the isometric maps. Helped me visualize how the different levels and raised/lowered sections all fit together.
Huh - just goes to show how subjective maps can be. I got the most mixed up when linking the levels up with each other.

The isometric maps for the Deepnight Endeavour are so awful, our referee took a week off to make Cartesian maps. And I'm still not sure how they link up together. Zero stars, worst starship I've ever hunted bugs on.
Huh. In hindsight, I should have done that. Will do if I ever re-run Ravenloft.
