Do elves stack (in a 5' square)

Under the core rules - somebody has to be considered "prone" and somebody "standing" for this to work.

you can continue to fight from a prone position - if you have an appropriate weapon. (crossbows - ect)

By the way - whoever the geinus was that decided to put 6 characters on a 10X10 raft deserves to have said raft tip over.

Huh, aside from not being entirly clear as written in the rule books, having 6 people on a 10 ft x 10 ft raft is completely reasonable. You can fit 4 people with paddles in a 14 ft x 3 ft canoe very easily. And have you ever been in an elevator?

This is the problem at hand, yes of course many beings can fit within spaces that are 5 ft x 5 ft. Question here is can they act effectivly.

And no, that raft would not tip over even if it held 4 horses, which it could with ease. Wow and they are large creatures!

So I guess this thread answers the question of why they have those "Pusher" guys who pack people onto the Japanese subway trains:

It's so they can't use thier katanas effectively.

Well, since starting this thread, one of my players found something to the effect of "firing a ranged weapon into a sqare occupied by more than one creature has an equal chance of hitting either creature." As I understand it, it was a footnote somewhere in the PH. Unfortunately it was during a session and I didn't get a chance to have him show it to me. So, I am guessing what this means is, if 2 people are in the same square, roll percentile, and then make an attack against whatever person the percentile indicate. Once again though, this rule specifically mentioned ranged attacks, and not melee.

Any thoughts?
