Do fiends reform after killed?

The thing is, the balor's weapon is also listed as a Supernatural ability of the balor under both 3.0 and 3.5. As something arising from a supernatural ability I doubt it would be able to exist after the original owner's been slain.

The supernatural ability makes the sword look like a flame or a bolt of lightning. The sword itself is listed among the balor's treasure.

IMCW, creatures of the upper and lower planes are in essence, immortal and would reform in their respective plane with in some random amonut af time between 100-1000 years.

However, fiends of Balor level will ALWAYS have some sort of fall back plan for these events. Rarely wil they leave themselves to this sort of inconvience.
