Do magic weapons still have their enhancement bonus reduced in the planes?

I have the MotP. My buddies asked me if a magic weapons enhancement bonus is still reduced in the planes. I have only perused the book, but I did not see any indication that a magic weapons enhancement bonus is reduced in the planes.

I told them travelling to a different plane had no effect on a magic weapons enhancement bonus unless a planar trait indicates such an effect. Is this correct?

He's referring to swecond edition rules, where the farther you moved from the plane the weapon was created on, the weaker the magic got.

So, to answer the questio: No, magical items do not lose bonuses from traveling plane to plane.

Thanks for the info Crothian.

I was fairly sure that the rule of reducing enchancement bonuses as you moved further from the Prime was no longer in effect, but I haven't thoroughly read the MotP. I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss something.
