I assume they mean verjuice or verjus, highly acidic juice made by pressing unripe grapes, and autocorrupt probably changed it.
100% what happened lmao
what is verdigris?
and where is that dish from?

*I only know Verdigris as the green patina of oxidised copper, which I thought was toxic
Yeah, total typo on my end, though ironically the dwarves in my setting do make heavy use of food-grade stone, sand and metal shavings as spices. There's also a particular art to pairing certain drinking vessels with certain beverages, like wine is supposed to be served in lead cups to sweeten it, as dwarves can handle more lead poisoning than most humanoids.

I could not even afford a rewards program nor have people to go with
To be clear, that was an exceptional case.

The CC bonus points came from a card that was used to run my Dad’s business. You buy enough supplies & appliances over the course of a year for those points to add up.

The hotel rewards came from our group member who had to travel as part of her job.

I've never heard of putting cheese on apple pie.
Now that I have, that will be a defining trait of the next villain.

It's not quite as egregious as people who put raisins in macaroni (or potato) salad, but I'm sure that my players would still hate it.

As somebody that worked a lot of pizza in the 80's and 90's, pineapple was an uncontroversial standard topping, although usually pared with ham, until the internet arrived and people started fake outrage over fairly common things to drive clicks/troll and/or because they forgot anchovies exist.
Oh great, now I'm picturing tiny little fishes in Monty Python Spanish Inquisition outfits yelling 'Nobody expects anchovies on pizza!'

Heh, fair enough. I mainly asked because I like making poached pears with cream cheese or with brie.which isnt too far from apple and cheese sans Pie crust.

I did wonder if verdigris was some obscure old medieval ingredient, but ae, verjus makes more sense:)

Dwarves being tolerant to lead, arsenic and similar is a flavourful culinary touch too:)

Yeah, my kids eat apple slices with cheddar cheese. It tastes best with a sharp, crumbly cheddar, not the cheap supermarket stuff.

Cheese and apples are a favorite of wineries. There is a winery in Temecula that is known for the brie and caramelized apple stuffed sourdough. As someone lucky enough to have had this - it is fantastic!

As far as gaming, ever since I had that sourdough, I added it to a specific area on my game world's map.
