Do priests of Pelor in your campaign

Have "kickin' tans"?

I don't know why but it just seems to be something the priests would do in their off time or maybe even as a type of worship...

The two female elves in my game were slightly taken aback by when they were invited to worship and the priests didn't let anything get in the way of their worship...

It doesn't strike me as something they'd do, no :)
When I used Pelor in one game they found that the oldest priests, when they retire to a life of religious contemplation, go through a ritual where they stare at the sun until they go blind so that Pelor can show them 'the inner light'. (And yes, I ripped that off directly from RQ's Yelmalio).

I can definitely see it as part of some rites in the clergys inner circle, individual worship and in some sects. But the mainstream pelorites propably wouldn't impose this on lay members.

My game's in FR, so it's Lathander for me, but same diff.

And yes. Yes they do.

And they never seem to get sunburn. Damndest thing. :)

Yup, same in the games I play / run (also FR - not much a diff, the 2 gods are almost exactly the same).

And I could have sworn that there was some book somewhere that confirmed that... might have been 2nd ed, though.... Faiths and Pantheons or something. :)

I'd assume a cure minor wound spell would be enough for a sunburn. My LG Nice Sky Guy deity does tend to have tanned clerics, though the Quetzalcoatl, {feathered serpent] aspect of this same god tends to get more sunbathers. Converting lizardfolk to a lawful good god is easier if part of worship entails lounging in the sun.

My clerics of the Pheonix{NG] tend to have major burnscars, often self inflicted. Even with the Fire domain being house ruled to grant fire resist {5 or cleric level if higher] some sport faces close to Freddy Kruger  .

Brazilians are said to worship the sun already, and summer is the most anticipated season of the year, when people soak up solar rays like it doesn't give you skin cancer.

I see pelorites being the same. Not necessarily going topless/bottomless/everythingless, but they certainly do their best to show the effects their god have upon their very skins.

As a sidenote, I also see them letting their hair get lighter (as the sun is ought to do), sometimes even using certain substances to increase the effect, getting as golden-blonde as possible.
