Do shields retain their AC bonus when characters are flatfooted?

The title of this thread (Do shields retain their AC bonus when characters are flatfooted?) says it all. What I am looking for is an official rule or errata. Can anybody direct me to a page number, PDF, or rulebook?

Shields provide an armor bonus (it's in the PH). Armor bonuses are retained when flatfooted. All you lose to AC when flatfooted is your Dex bonus. PH page 120.

Yes, you don't lose armor bonuses when flat footed, you only lose your DEX bonus (excluding Uncanny Dodge).
