Well, I wrote the Blood and... books as some of you know...
oh yeah! i bought Blood & Guts when it came out in print format, and thought it was very good.

i'm also looking forward to the print version of your Arthurian setting, as well as Sidewinder: Recoiled from DHR.

Plus, when I was without printing support for a while early last year, I took a few things to Kinkos and had them printed.
unfortunately, the nearest Kinkos to me is over 20 minutes away... :(

I'm using [edit.. Hell on Earth 1939-1045] to supplement my own WWII Supers campaign right now (SH in sig below). How'd you like it so far?
I like it a lot. Not too sure about some of the commando; like the concept, but the power level is a bit out, and while they are a higher entry level class, I don't think this is appropriate with D20M advanced classes (Charles Ryan has spoken about how they are supposed to be the same power level as the base classes). Anyway, Will will tell me off if I digress :).

On another point - I think Wizards could do a good job pointing out some of the support thats available for D20M. They did it for their 'old boys' for the Games Mechanics and their releases through Green Ronin, but there are others who are producing stuff that's easily as good, if not better (personally I'm underwhelmed by Modern Player's Companion). Especially if they're not going to release much for it themselves (morning the loss of Genetech :( ).

Cheerio,

Ben

Do you, or would you, buy d20 Modern support materials from RPG Now? What kind of stuff would you like to see? Do you want cool alt-earth settings, plug-in rules expansions (martial arts, magic, etc.), organizations and NPCs, or something else?

Plug-in rules expansions, especially martial arts (props to vigilance!).

PDFs can be such a great deal that it makes me sick.

The only trick is to make sure that you get the top-quality stuff: read the reviews, check out the demos. This amounts to about the same effort as flipping through a few books at the hobby shop and talking with the owner (if you can get him off of the computer, where he's busy downloading PDFs).

I really like the PDFs I've purchased (the modern TGM pdfs, MPC (1&2), MAM (1&2), MM (1)), and plan on purchasing more (if only because my FLGS doesn't carry much d20M stuff, or any for that matter).

I do have a laptop, a 1 month old iBook, and since I carry it with me almost everywhere, it allows me to work on campaign ideas as they hit, as well as have the pdfs on my computer while my friends use my hard covers.

I also am lucky enough to live in a town where there are three kinkos within walking distance (one a few minutes, one about ten, the otehr about twenty), as well as excellent printing capabilities (I'm an engineering student) from my university.

Also, I do play in two d20M campaigns (one of them online), and plan on starting another (based on some GURPS books as well as UA) as soon as I can convince my friends that it'll be fun.

I just made my first purchase of d20M PDF's from rpgnow.com, and I'm going to purchase more. I also just discovered this forum for d20 Modern, so hello, folks!

I've got the d20 Modern Core Book, d20 Menance, Ultramodern Firearms and Urban Arcana. I purchased Quickshots off of RPGnow, and after reading some stuff here I will probably also purchase Blood and Fists and Blood and Guts. The first campaign I'd like to run to get used to the system is perhaps 3 or 4 sessions where my players are special forces guys: any guns they want, way too much combat and no concern for whether or not the encounters are balanced. I think it's going to be a lot of fun.

I'm probably going to purchase, too, the PDF files that deal with military conflicts. I forget the name, but I already purchased the PDF file for running a campaign in Iraq, and I remember seeing other files for Somalia and some other back-ass country. I'm probably going to get those, too.

Of 49 items listed, I have bought, received as gifts, or wrote all but 13 of them. And those 13 are either superhero stuff, chunks of other books, or bundles of stuff I already have.

That's an interesting stat, Dana.

Of the 49 listed... I own 29 of the 49...
11 of them, I received for having worked on them (2 for playtesting, and the other 9 for editing), and I would have bought them anyway.

So... Yes, people are purchasing D20 Modern PDFs...

I've all but given up on any game system except d20 Modern, but I haven't invested heavily in pdfs yet. I'm looking forward to DJ's next Big Bang installment, and I've picked up TGM's martial arts rules, but this has more to do with a balky computer than anything else - the dern thing tends to *CRASH!* when I'm trying to download large files. When we buy a new machine next month, I may treat myself to a C-note worth of pdfs to celebrate.

I recently purchased a d20 Modern product - New Glory Naval Base - more to show support for Modern publishers than for the product itself.

To all the authors and publishers out there...if you build it, I will come, at least once I boost my processing capabilities. If you're looking for ideas, I definitely agree with d4 on equipment guides, as well as a greater variety of historical periods - there was a good thread about this on the WotC d20 message boards that I hope the publishers have been reading...
