Do you game with other ENWorlders?

Hmm, I really thought that in the era of online play, a lot more ENWorlders would have formed groups given the longevity of the community and the friendships formed over the years.

I’m here mostly for the pbps. But then it occurred to me that my current RL game is with a bunch of high school buddies who all happen to have accounts. In fact, they introduced me to this place a long time ago.

But all that said, I also could only choose one option.

I play face-to-face with @TheSword for one weekend every month, and have done so for around 20 years. It’s great because each of us gets to both DM and play during the weekend.
I also play a bi-weekly remote game run by @TheSword (Enemy Within) which is excellent. I’ve also played a couple of online campaigns run by @Steampunkette and these were awesome too.
I feel very lucky and privileged to be part of this site, and to have gamed with members of it. Hopefully even more so in future.

What defines an ENWorlder? For the sake of this poll, anyone with an account you can tag who posts and/or reads posts either during the time you played games together and/or currently.

I'm going to take "ENWorlder" to mean someone I otherwise wouldn't have met or known had I not been an ENWorlder myself; as opposed to people I already know or knew before they did anything here, or who became ENWorlders only after I started playing in the same game(s) as they.

And on that basis it's "No, not currently, but have in the past".

I’m curious… with the ease of online play these days… why don’t more like-minded posters get a game going? Hell, even non-like-minded posters… try out something different. It doesn’t have to be a long-term commitment… one-shots or short campaigns are far easier to arrange.

It’s be cool if this thread led to more of us playing together.

Is there a players looking for games thread somewhere? ENworld has its own Discord server. (Which I have never visited) Could there not be gaming rooms?

Years ago I went to a North Carolina Game Day hosted by Rel and others. I met a number of ENWorlders even got to game with a few. I was in close proximity to PirateCat as he GMed a Dread session. I was so envious of the players.
