Message: <blockquote data-quote="Shieldhaven" data-source="post: 2019448" data-attributes="member: 23427">The color and composition of the dice-set (and I always prefer sets over single dice) must reflect, in some fashion, the character I am playing, or must only be used for that character.  Dice have a sense of aesthetics for such things; my warmain only uses pewter or other shiny metal dice.  I picked this up while playing a super-shiny sohei and using pewter dice.  My luck with that character was... really quite scary.  My luck with the warmain has been better-than-average.I have definitely seen people go on a massive streak of bad luck.  The offending d20 in at least two cases found itself flying into the woods at high speed.Recently, I have been well-nigh unable to miss when I am GMing.  My dice forget how to roll below a 15.  My players hate this.I've also calculated the odds against rolling five 1's in a row, which happened to a friend of mine in a scene in which he was grossly outnumbered and could hit on 2 or better.  He was famed, far and wide, for his abysmal luck.There is nothing that will bring on bad luck faster than using a once per day ability, like a 3.0 paladin's Smite Evil, or a zenythri's (MM2) true strike.</blockquote>
