Do you have any superstions or rules about your dice, e.g. no one else touches them, lucky dice, etc?

yes. numerous.

but i also have a basis in statistics so i know most are just that... unfounded.

I've found talking supportive (or dirty ) helps out, so I sound weird at the table.

I sometimes roll dice until a bad result comes, because afterwards dice will roll good. Well, of course they won't and I know it, but it's still funny.

But I don't think this counts, I do not actually believe it helps in any way.

I just believe that i have a tendancy for rolling low, but it isn't related to the dice... In any case i wouldn't bother try statistics to see if it is founded or not. So I have almost no dice superstition. "Almost"

Until I read other people's comments, the only dice superstition I was aware of was the habit of blowing on the dice for good luck.

1. A new RPG system needs new dice
2. The dice from my FLGS are curesed, because the owner of the shop touched them.
3. Never use the "deamon the fallen" dice when you meet a deamon

And sometimes I do the same as "Thanee", and i doesnt work.

Heck yeah. I have been using the same set of blue and purple dice for my entire gaming career. They rock and have not let me down yet.

My Dice Superstition is a simple one. Every d20 I've owned since I lost my clear orange d20 about 10 years ago has sucked. That die was so good to me.
