I like to read, but the problem is that I'll start reading something and get so caught up in it that I'll neglect doing other things. Not serious stuff... but for instance, I have a list of things I want to do this weekend, but instead I read through the first three books of The Dark Tower. Not to mention that my other hobbies tend to suffer greatly... I have a bunch of video games that I would really like to play/finish, but again I'll get caught up reading, and that's the end of it. So I really have to read in moderation, which is kinda tough.

I love to read. Usually not more than a novel a month though. I like to read slowly to digest every word and to understand everything that is going on in a story. However, I do read everyday of other items. I read a lot of enworld posts, I read Dragon magazine every month as well as Dungeon (though not every month). I belong to several yahoo groups, so that keeps me busy. I read nothing but novels when I was much younger. My five favorite novels of all time are The Indian in the Cupboard, My Side of the Mountain, and the novelizations of the Back to the Future trilogy.

Oh yeah, I also read many self help books, mainly to help me get a feel for how they are written and to improve myself. I'm in the process of writing a self-help book myself.

Me too. I like to "taste" each word individually.

didn't anyone ever tell you to chew with your mouth closed?

i can see and hear every word you are tasting.

i know that are lipsmacking good, but still you don't have to share.
