I went with Yes, but I don't set out to get signatures in mind. If I am at a booth or happen to be near someone and they are already signing something I will probably get it signed. At Origins I played in one of the play-with-a-creator games and was in the one Monte Cook ran. I happened to win one of the books he was giving away and certainly got his signature on it! Come to think of it, my Gamers DVD was autographed by the girl that played the princess/annoyed dorm neighbor.

Don't know exactly how to answer, but I guess I'd go "Yes".

I'm not really into signatures, per se, but I do have two signed books -- both of them because I helped edit them (no, not WotC or anything). Collecting signatures doesn't really do anything for me except in these cases.

OTOH, I DON'T like to keep my books clean. Like my school books, I keep all sorts of notes, running arguments, highlights, and the like. These are not novels -they are rules, and rules need commentary. I am the Master of Marginalia - ask anyone who's seen my copy of Maleficium (old White Wolf supplement for Ars Magica) to know the level of notes and arguments carried on in my books!

I don't go out of my way for it - but I do have some DragonLance hardcovers signed. My War of the Lance is signed by both Tracy Hickman and Marg Weis - which means it was a Gencon 2004 release. (Tracy didn't sign them other than there - though Margaret signs everything you order directly from Sov Press).

I'm kinda weird about this. I really like getting my books signed but don't bother folks for signatures. However, if I do see other people getting their books signed I'll hop in line.

However, once my book is signed, I know I'll have to buy another copy to play with. I like keeping my signed books in pristine condition. I don't why exactly, but it is worth it to me to buy a second just copy to play with.

I don't really know how to answer this. I'm not particularly interested in getting any of my books signed, though I suppose if the opportunity presented itself, I'd take advantage of it. However, I don't insist that they stay "pure" either, I've signed every one of my books...how else am I supposed to tell them apart when they get scattered about the table.

The only book I have signed is the DLCS, signed by both Weiss and Hickman. I'd love to get my other DL books signed as well, but I wouldn't go out of my way to have that.
