Does a mind flayer using plane shift provoke an AoO?

Its pretty much all in the title. I am not too familiar with Psionics so I am wondering if this wil provoke an AoO.

Last session we encountered one and actually held our own, we beat it down and it eventually fled with plane shift. We didn't get an AoO on it, or we might have killed it; just wondering if technically provoked one.

If so I hope the DM will let us rewind just a little...

Yeah, I think so. It's as the spell, so. The Mind Flayer might be able to do it defensively, though.

Don't expect the GM to rewind, though. Not common.

I don't have the book in front of me, so is Plane Shift a special psionic ability for a Mind Flayer? If so, then Jdvn1 is dead on as it works just like a spell-like ability. If it's not and the Mind Flayer was simply manifesting it psionically, then Jdvn1 is still right. But if it's a Supernatural or Extraordinary ability for the Mind Flayer then, no, it would not provoke. SU and EX never do.

It's an Sp ability, so it does draw an AoO, but can be used on the defensive.

Also for the experience/CR chart. That always gets me.

I don't mind that one as much. There are plenty of tools online that can calculate an EL and the spreadsheet that Wulf gave out over the GM's day weekend is all I use to calculate XP. :)
