Does AMF block Line of Effect?

My mage is in a corridor that is blocked by an AMF with a monster on the other side of, but beyond the antimagic field. Could my mage cast a hold monster or lightning bolt and hit that creature as long as he was outside of the AMF when he cast the spell?

Basically I'm curious if the AMF acts like a solid wall for purposes of blocking Line of Effect.
