Does it cost gold to scribe spells to Boccob's Blessed Book?

I've searched around, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this question. Does a Boccob's Blessed Book a) just give you a light weight way to cart your spells around, or b) also save you some money on scribing costs.

The SRD says

"The pages of a Blessed Book freely accept spells scribed upon them..."

so I'm really not sure. Any help most welcome.

Since you are a member, do a search on BBB.

There was a thread a few days/weeks ago about it. In short, 50% of Enworlders will telll you that the costs are as usual while the other half will let he wizard scribe for free.

Don't think you can search, Jarval, you have to be a community supporter for that, not just a member (unless i'm completely mistaken).

IMO, you don't need to pay, but you still have to spend time scribing the spells.

in case your making the switch they expressly say there is no cost in GP in 3.5 as I understand it.

I always read it as meaning without cost in gold. Monte Cook said that was the intention of the word "freely" in the item description, even though others disagree.

The 3.5 BBB description is clear that there is no cost in gold to scribe spell into this book. It would still take 24 hours to scribe (the new 3.5 scibing time is 24 hours for any spell).
