Does Keen stack with Improved Crit?

Quick question: Does the Improved Critical feat stack with the keen enchantment? So, for example, if I had a fighter with Improved Critical and a +3 Keen Longsword, would he roll a threat on a 15-20?

Makes it worse if you have a keen rapier and improved critical(12-20) You just have to feel the love and power it gives to a rogue character. :D

Why does everyone always take the rapier? Take the Falchion! Same crit range and just think of the 1.5X damage! :D

Woo hoo! Every now and then you can do the same amount of damage that a greatsword does on every hit! And as long as you avoid undead, constructs, slimes and other creatures immune to critical hits you can, less than half the time, do sa much damage on a hit as your fighter friend!

Seriously, improved critical with a rapier (or scimitart or whatever), is pretty nice for the lareg threat range, but the damage potential in a crit on those weapons is fairly modest most of the time.

Every character I have with a falchion ends up getting shot by some explorer that like to use a whip. I stand there eand impress him by whirling my blade around, and then he pulls out a gun and shoots me. :D

Oops! You've forgotten that everything is doubled on a crit. That includes bonuses from Str, feats and enhancement bonuses. At high levels, the bonuses can make the base damage insignificant by comparison, even if you don't count the slightly twinky vorpal ability.

Very true, but the reall power of these weapons comes into play when you have a weapon ability that triggers on a critical. A Thundering Falchion is a lot more useful than a Thundering Greatsword. Also, with a Falchion you get to do double damage more often, which can be great if you have a high strength bonus.
