Does Natural Armor ever Stack?

I don't know where I keep geting this idea, but I seem to remember something about a creatures natural armor stacking with natural armor granted from a magic item. Am I mis-remembering?

Yes, you're misremembering -- or remembering a house rule.

Bonusses of like type (almost) never stack. When in doubt ... the answer is "no".

You could be thinking of Paladin's with non-standard mounts.

They get a + natural armor bonus which DOES stack (I believe the reasoning was that its an increase to their natural armor, not another bonus)

Or Familiars. Or a couple templates -- i.e. Half-Dragon.

But those always state that it is an INCREASE to natural armor, not a seperate natural armor bonus.
