Does Net of Shadows trump Invisibility?

Let's say I cast Net of Shadows (Magic of Faerun) on a spellcaster and he fails his save. Therefore, he has swirls of shadow around him giving him 9/10ths cover and preventing him from seeing more than 5 feet away. Let's say his next action is to cast invisibility on himself.

Does he become invisible and the swirls of shadow stay on him, effectively pinpointing his position?

What actually happens is the Net of Shadows turns to you and says:

"Dude! Where's my spellcaster?"

Seriously, I don't have my books with me, but are you sure that Net of Shadows gives 9/10 COVER (and not Concealment)?

IMO, Yes, you know in which square the spellcaster. Said spellcaster still has 50% miss chance due to total concealment (invisibility), but other than that, you know where he is.

It's the same with any light spell. If you cast Light on an unwilling victim, and said victim turns invisible, the light source also turns invisible, but the actually light emitting from his body is still visible.

Yes, I meant concealment, not cover. Thanks for the response. I was just worried about a 1st level spell trumping a 2nd level spell's effectiveness.

Of course, not that many of your unwilling victims are likely to be objects :)
