Does someone making a Spot check blow your hiding for everyone?

Pax: A similar system is in Mike Mearls' City Works (from Fantasy Flight Games). Basically, guards are rated based on training level, from Rabble to Elite. This determines a base Vigilance and Integrity score, which has modifiers for level of pay (underpaid, overpaid, etc.) and situations (time of war). These numbers (Vigilance and Integrity) are the base DCs for sneaking past them and bribing them, respectively.

City Works is a very good book. Also has rules for chases, fires in the city, and more.

With regards to the bar scene:
Hide is not Invisibility. You need concealment to hide (ie., something to hide behind/among). Moving to an area of new conditions (from outside to inside) should entail a new check using the modifiers appropriate to the new conditions. Note that it is highly unlikely that the character has the same concealment from all patrons in the bar; s/he probably has No concealment from at least some patrons.

To answer Dracwulf's original question, each character in the bar gets a separate Spot check to see the Rogue. Assuming the Rogue has concealment (which you did not stipulate originally), that is. If there is no cover or concealment, there is no Hiding (exception: Hide in Plain Sight ability, or something like that).

It is possible for the Rogue to remain unnoticed by some patrons, and noticed by others. Unless the ones who spot the Rogue say something, the ones who did not notice get new automatic passive chances to spot the Rogue from time to time:

Action: Varies. Every time you have a chance to spot something in a reactive manner you can make a Spot check without using an action. Trying to spot something you failed to see previously is a move action. To read lips, you must concentrate for a full minute before making a Spot check, and you can’t perform any other action (other than moving at up to half speed) during this minute.

Try Again: Yes. You can try to spot something that you failed to see previously at no penalty. You can attempt to read lips once per minute.
