I have with some of my older groups...but then when you build a hella cool dungeon-style gaming room in your garage...kinda makes you feel underdressed when you don't.

I don't anymore, since I don't have any costumes of the D&D sort, and no one else really dresses up...in that way...outside of ren faires (if that).

Coneheads had him too. :p
Yeah but I don't think there were any goat leggings in Coneheads.

But there SHOULD have been! :p

And it did teach us that Michelle Burke would look pretty cute bald, so it's got that going for it.

Never in 32+ years of RPGing have I ever played in a group that wore costumes to a tabletop game.

d00d,

then you haven't really lived yet. i love to do it. props also help as a physical reminder of just what you have.

scrolls, potion vials, rings and other jewelry, headbands, boots, hidden weapons, etc...

besides if someone gets too outta hand you can pull a shiv real easy at a game table.

Some time ago we had a player that wore a cloak. I dubbed him "Cloak boy John" (there were 3 Johns) I wore a hooded cloak as a joke to a single session. Normally its just dork t-shirts: "Han Shot First" "I (Godzilla) Tokyo" "BFG" and so on.

Oh diaglo, what won't you say?

I chose the last one, but it would be more of "Hell no, I'd shoot them in the head!"

Dressing up is fine for the RenFest. Not for day-to-day gaming.
