D&D 5E Don't Throw 5e Away Because of Hasbro

I get that it may have been polite in Mikes case but I’m not sure it was nice. Didn’t he say it was so bad he’d probably never do it again.

I suspect they were totally blindsided by youtubers sharing their entire product and calling it a review. Page by page. Has that ever happened before?
it was one YTer, and yes it has

I’m pretty gobsmacked by the whole thing. Can you ever imagine them doing a page by page release of a Level Up product?
I don’t think EN Publishing would do anything, most of it is under CC anyway (and congrats to Morrus for that).

I believe the Kobolds explicitly said that you can share full pages after this, and that they do not care how many

Like I said above not familiar with all the issues but common sense would tell me that I can't share page after page after page even if it wasn't explicitly spelled out when I received my review copy.
yeah, I would not either, but then only one did and others got notices too for doing pretty standard reviews they have done for other products before

Insulting other members
apologist: a person who offers an argument in defense of something controversial.

I'm posting this up for TheSword guy who insists on supporting WOTC. I mean, there's 697 comments on this one post alone, so I think that is, by definition, controversial. And he consistently defends them even though he says he doesn't.

I don't have a dog in this fight, I'm just amused by his insistence.

Yes I believe several YouTubers were known for paging thru books. Maybe not as complete. A couple few twitch folks too.

Here is Newbie DMs. Tome of Foes. WotC sent him a review copy.

I guess I would consider there to be a huge difference between flicking through a book with the text unreadable, giving a sense of the layout and topics. As opposed to a picture perfect readable page word for word. Huge difference.

I'm not convinced a quick flick-through so you can see the layout and topics is enough to satisfy the audience likely to base their purchasing decision on an internet influencer's promotional video.
