double the pleasure: familiars, share spell, and polymorph

Question:

When a mage polymorphs, does his familiar do so as well? How about a psion? I've got a gentleman in my game who's a Psion egoist / Anarchic Initiate. He's been turning into not one, but *two* cryohydras, since his take is that "share spell" permits his pet rock (psicrystal, fine) to turn into one as well.

As usual, I can cope without bending the rules, but I would like to know if there's been any vetting of this "double your pleasure" move.

cheers,

Carpe

As long as they stay within the five foot range of each other for Share Powers, yes - although you might want to read through the particular power he's using carefully.

Mostly, though, you're running into the age-old "polymorph is broken" issue, doubled.
