Double weapons and Magic

When a magic double weapon is detected for, does the reader get the whole thing as far as auras (ie minor, moderate etc) or can each end be discerned from each other in power? Is a +1/+1 orc double axe seen as minor, moderate or two minors?

Do you consider a +1 Ghost Touch weapon to have two auras (minor evocation, moderate conjuration), or one?

Do you consider a +1 Flaming weapon to have two auras (minor evocation, moderate evocation), or one?

No clue. You threw me with that one, but if you Hypersmurf are posing the question it must not be explicit in the rules. I would suppose that the most powerful enchantment would mask any weaker enchantments. But what about a +2 Ghost touch weapon both moderate which takes prescendence evocation or conjuration. I have no idea here and am seeking help? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each way (assuming there is no definitively "right" answer)

Thanks

As I think about it for the first time, I think I'd rule that each end has its own detectable aura -- namely because each end is enchanted totally separate.

However, my reading is that other magic items are only supposed to have a single aura (e.g., +1 Flaming).

If you take a look at the Staff of Power and the Staff of the Woodlands, their aura is "Strong Varied".

But the Cloak of Arachnida is "Faint Conjuration and Transmutation".

Likewise a couple of the Figurines of Wondrous Power - two schools listed at the same strength.

So I'd be inclined to say that a +1 Ghost Touch weapon would radiate "Moderate Conjuration and Evocation" - even though the Evocation, by itself, would only be Faint.

Multiple Evocation auras would not "stack" - so a +3 Flaming sword would simply radiate Moderate Evocation, just like a +3 sword or a +1 Flaming sword.

As for the double weapon... a +1 weapon gains bonus hardness and hit points. If you have a +1/+1 double weapon, would you add the bonus points once to each end, or twice to the weapon as a whole?

If you'd consider the hardness etc of each end separately, I'd say two auras of Faint evocation; if you'd add both to the whole wapon, I'd say one aura :)
