Downloading Mongoose Publishing Character Sheets

Anybody have success with this? I tried getting the Cleric sheets, but for some reason (probably the javascript) I can't. iCab has no problem with PDFs at any other site, but Mongoosepublishing.com is an entirely different beast for some reason.

Help.

Sorry to hear you're having a problem with it. Have you tried left clicking to open the sheet as a pdf and then saving it, rather than a right click, save as?

I tried that. With iCab you have the option to download a file rather than opening. But when I tried it with the cleric.pdf I got an error message and the download stopped.

I have the feeling its the javascript used. Try removing same and see what happens.

Update: Tried it with Netscape. That didn't work. I don't know who did the Javascript, but whoever it was would get a thorough bonking were he within range.

Seriously, back when I tried to download material from Mongoose Publishing site a few monthes ago with my computer (which did a big KABOOM a few days ago, sniff, we will never forget you buddy...) I had these error messages about not being able to find the file. I retried just after reading this post with my father's computer and I have the same problem than before.

The only files I managed to download so far are the decks plans from Sea of Blood (Ships of the goblinoids have the error too if I remember). Maybe someone should look if these files are handled differently from the others on the server.

Ooops I tried but it seems I am no longer able to download the deck plans either. But there were accessible a few weeks (month?) ago. Maybe the site thinks I am far too dangerous to handle these pdf.

well the problem comes with the fact the link does not link to a file, but rather a piece of javascript code that opens a new window in a set size that will then open the file...

basically you can't directly save the file by right clicking, sorry guys, no idea why they used this method :-(

Mongoose guys, PLEASE don't use javacript redirecting, just use html (the good old target="_blank" is a preference for new windows )
