Dragon #297 Contents questions

But Good and Neutral Tieflings are pretty common. In fact I'd think it would have been more accurate to say that they were mainly of Neutral alignments in the first place to begin with. And about some Axani being perfectly symetrical, you know they say if someone was perfectly symetrical they'd look unattractive.

As for that Epic spell Shadar's Primal Destruction, what's the area of effect for that? Would it generally effect a larger area than the massively metamagiced Cone of Cold with a lot of applications of Enlarge Spell?

I'm interested in the "Relics of Earth," especially (being Jewish) Rabbi Loew's golem, which I heard was in there. Also wondering what powers the rosetta stone possesses. If someone could post this, it could give a good preview into artifact crafting.

The area of effect for Shadar's Primal Devastation is a 300-ft. radius. The only hint as to the Primal Elemental's stats is that its CR is 35.

Rabbi Loew's Golem is defined as an "Epic Golem" (as is the Sphinx). It has an intelligence of 5, it can take an extra partial action each round, it can rage, wounds it causes won't heal naturally, it's mostly immune to magic, can be turned invisible, and gets a +40 competence bonus to skills related to 3 of its stats -- though no skills of its own. Rabbi Loew would have to have been at least 23rd level.

For comparison, the Sphinx has an Int of 30 and has the "Strangle" ability...it would be pretty impressive if it didn't have a Cha of 1. Hardly worth seeing, really.

The Rosetta Stone works something like the Tome of Understanding and etc. If you spend a certain number of hours reading it over a period of time, you can make an Int check to gain the ability to speak and read all languages.

Hi, all :)

Actually, it didn't. I just felt bad that I started the thread, then disappeared and didn't answer any questions.
Thank you for the clarification :)

Cansin are primarily Chaotic. Just like Aasimar are primarily Good. The thing is, because of the nature of Chaos, you're more likely to
find Lawful Cansin than you are Evil Aasimar. With Chaos, it's kind of like all the possibilities that can happen do happen occasionally,
even if it means something odd like a Lawful Cansin. With Good, there's going to be a strong bent away from Evil (and vice versa).
That's why Lawful Cansin are more likely than Evil Aasimars, Good Tieflings, and Chaotic Anaxi.
I'm still not sure if I understand it, but thank you anyway. :)

By the way, do any of the articles have the "We are looking for feedback because this article might appear in a future book" sidebar?

The man who developed Dracomorph was a good spellcaster, from what I gathered of the intro paragraphs.
I always wonder where the fun in being good is. Okay, you get to fight all the evil stuff, but evil can do that, too, and gets to fight evil. ;)

Seeing that Lascer is supposed to be a demon prince in Dungeon #92, a CR of 58 is propably reasonable. :)

Are there any hints about creating artifacts? (Thinks about an artifact that would prevent druids getting anywhere near his heart...)
