Alright, one of the characters in my game (The rogue) recently acquired an egg from a group of Kobolds they liberated from a less than kind ogre gunslinger.
Anyway, he just sort of took the egg from the Kobolds, and they never found out what was in it. They just assumed. I just assumed as well, but never told them anything.
Then dragon 307 rolls around.
I see the Dweomervore, and I realize the egg should hatch soon. Since the party rogue never does anything roguey, I thought it would be a good idea to include the Dweomervore as a party NPC. I looked at the ECL, which was +4. Exactly the party's level? Niiiice.
But I'm wondering, would including the Dweomervore (who would regard the Rogue as his mother and thus adventure with him, but still follow his own free will) in the party upset things greatly? My thoughts would be to handle the wand eating thing mostly off-stage, unless they happen to be caught somewhere for quite some time.
