Dragon #323 came in today.

Samurai vs Knight by John Clements. One fought for honor, wore cool armor, wielded finely wrought weapons, and struck fear into the hearts of those who opposed him. Oh wait, so did the other one. Find out who would win in this historical deathmatch! John looks at the scenario, the armor, the shield, the weapons, and the swordsmanship. Then he makes some educated guesses.

Can you give some more infos, thalmin?

As you can see from my Avatar, I'm cleary interested in the performances of my brother knights! :)

3 column text

What is it with you Americans and three column text?

It just makes everything harder to read. It looks awful, it scans badly, and it over-hythenates.

I was happy when it disappeared from the D&D books, so why on earth bring it back?

The Preview for Dragon #234:

The Shadows Over D&D H.P. Lovecraft's creations have been creeping into D&D for decades. Find out which of your favorite monsters sprang from the mind of the master of supernatural horror.

A Novel Approach: American Gods Neil Gaiman's novel of modern myth provides inspiration for D&D games.
#234 is going to have Lovecraft AND Gaiman?
Hehehehe, September can't come soon enough!

Ecology The Ecology of Chokers Learn the secrets of the choker.

Is there any mention of Eberron in this article? According to Hellcow, the chokers were forged from halflings by the daelkyr.

(Also, mindflayers are rumored to be gith aberrations when the daelkyr destroyed their homeworld. Apparently there are other worlds on the prime beyond Eberron...)

Just a quick skim of the article, seems like no Eberron, only Underdark. By the wayan inset for the article announces the choker as one of the figs in the upcoming Aberrations D&D Miniatures set, with a picture. It will be a common fig.
