Well maybe but I think they had this (rerelease of Dragons of Autumn) scheduled well in advance of any hope for the movie. At least I reasonable recall back in early part of 2006 (winter/spring of 2006), them mentioning this. (I think it was March). Movie news didn't come out until two weeks ago. Logic would indicate this was planned regardless of whether the movie got made or not.

But the movie news was Lucy Lawless saying she "made the movie." Given the development time required to get a movie made, I would expect they knew it was a reasonable shot years ago.

Bear in mind, I don't have Tome of Magic, so I don't know details about the classes there.

The first sections are denouncements, which allow you to use a creatures truename against it. You can take a denouncement feat instead of the bonus recitation feat at certain levels.

Listed are the Denouncement of Energy (weakens a foes energy resistance), Focused Agression (can choose a person the target can't attack), Garbled Words (confuse opponent for 1 round), Stalwart Shield (lower spell resistance of creature), Unleashed Spell (choose person the target can't cast spell against), Untouchable Form (lower creature's damage reduction).

It follows with a few additional Truename feats: Greater Named Spell & Named Spell (both increases DC of Truename spell, and gives bonus to overcome spell resistance) and Truename Scholar (perform a ritual with a gp cost to gain a permanent bonus on Truespeak checks using a specific creatures truename).

Besides, it looks more like a generic 'elemental' issue than one focused entirely on Elemental Evil.
