Could a summary be given for what feats there are for the Scout in Class Acts?

And also what do the new Leadership feats do also?

Acrobatic Skirmisher: Bonus to damage when using Tumble to avoid AoO.

Improved Acrobatic Skirmisher: More damage as above.

Mounted Fighting: Bonus to attack and damage when mounted (can be taken by other classes by reqirements).

Passive Reconnoiter: Bonus on Spot and Listening when you spend a full round action.

Ranged Skirmisher: Can use the Skirmish ability at ranges further than 30 ft.

Scout the Path: Get bonus when "trailblazing" (from CAdv), and bonus to parties Hide & Move Silently checks when you take a full round action.

Apparently the author didn't read Heroes of Battle. He doesn't list the type of feat as a "Leadership" feat (just as General feats). Also, all of the feats have the pointless requirement of 6th level. Since few classes can take these feats as bonus feats, almost no one can take them at 6th level (since your 6th level feat has to go to Leadership).

Assemble the Horbe: +1 to Leadership score. Gain additional 1st level followers.

Class Champion: Additional followers of the highest level you have.

Close Cohort: Can have a cohort 1 level lower than you (Identical in effect with Improved Cohort from Heroes of Battle but with a different, easier requirement).

Eye for Talent: +1 to Leadership score, shorter time to replace followers.

Fanatical Devotion: +1 to Leadership score, don't take penalties to Leadership score for follower's deaths.

Natural Leader: +2 to Leadership

Boo! Bad editing! Unnecessary duplication = bad!

I think this is questionable. Do you expect every writer for Dragon to be aware of every product for D&D that WotC releases? I doubt that even a large minority here even qualifies for this. You'd be severely limiting your authors for the magazines.

Should the editors have caught this? Maybe. I doubt Dragon has the level of developers that WotC has to catch this sort of rules gaffe. I would have rather they caught the obvious fact that the requirement of 6th level for these feats was pointless (since they all require the leadership feat, which takes your 6th level feat slot).

I know if I allow these feats I will be houseruling them all as Leadership feats (and disallowing the duplicate feat).

Nope. I have no idea why you'd ask me that, as I said nothing about the authors in my post above. Not "questionable" at all.

Yes. I expect that to be part of their job. And I pretty much said so in my post above.

Exactly what I'm doing. I liked the "[Leadership]" feat concept, and I use Dragon as a 'grab what I like, ignore the rest' resource.

Hmmm..should the editors be familiar with every WotC product? They certainly don't have the time that the WotC developers do.

There are worse problems in this area, IMO. I expect articles to have hairy moments when combining with optional supplements (unless directly connected to that optional product). I look for those sorts of oddities.

Andy Collins completely missing the first Sage Advice question, on the other hand, concerns me. It's not a matter of debate, as it's clearly listed in the Eberron Campaign Setting errata, which he completely ignores. Whoever is the sage should know better.
