I'm not yet subscribed - can you give some information about the article?

It describes a small frontier trading post near the edge of the Mournlands. Its basically a description of the town (including its history), some of its key NPCs, and the immediate environs. Its stat free, so it could work in any Eberron game.

Basically, it describes a potential home base for PCs making forays further into the Mournlands.

I read the article, and maybe somebody who read it can help here -- WHAT is the big secret of "Haven"? The article talks about the hidden secret that only the founders know, but, funnily enough, they don't tell you what the secret is, keeping it.... a secret. :D

Did anyone who read this catch it?

There's some kind of portal, but I think some text got accidentally cut.

Cool, thanks for the info! I could use that for my 3.5 game...

Haven't read the article, so it's entirely possible that given the context the "secret" would be expected to be known, but...

Is it possible that this is another one of those "secrets" that's intentionally left to the DM (e.g. what caused the Mourning)? That's a fairly popular theme, in Eberron.

It could be, but the mention of the "portal" comes out of nowhere and is dropped by the next sentence. To me, the way the reference lurches out of the paragraph without an context or explanation, looks like an editing error to me.
