Dang it!! I just bought the Keeper decks. I agree though, the new ones have better art. I was surprised that the art in the first edition was pretty shoddy.
I might just get the 2nd ed ones, and trade\sell off the ones I have.

Forest of Doom in gamebook form (and these AFF adventures follow along very closely) is a hilariously rectangular forest with a branching point crawl (created decades before that term was created). It's not high art, but was a very solid third Fighting Fantasy gamebook back in the day. This should be very mine-able for someone who wants an old school fantasy adventure for any game system.

Even the stuff that's technically unique to Fighting Fantasy, like the shapeshifter on the cover, has pretty obvious analogues in popular fantasy game systems.

Interesting that Paizo got out of Pawns only for Kobold Press to jump into it. I freaking love them, but after picking up so many boxes and "booster" packs for both PF and SF, I usually can find a "that's close enough" pawn for just about anything. Do I really need more?

(The answer is: probably, yeah. I'm probably going to use them for some ultra-simple mass combat game someday, if I can just find one that scratches the itch. Runehammer's War Maker was close, but just a tad too improv.)

Pinnacle is into the Pawn game now too for Savage Worlds.

Paizo has done a pawn pack for Monster Vault - the remastered Bestiary.

I wonder if they might do one or two more?
