Dragon 379 - Class Acts: Cleric Essentials

I too don't like the turn undead is so powerful, and the rest not so much.

So, clerics in my world get multiple channel divinity feats for free, based on their deity.

I also gave the cleric in my group a spellscar that allows him to change the type of creature affected by turn undead one time (daily power).

I like the Vengeful Flame (In part because I don't like any of the level 1 attack encounter powers).

One thing that's nice about the "If you've used Healing Word/etc" this round verbiage is that it encourages holding on to your powers, instead of blowing them in the first two rounds.

I didn't think too hard about the Harbringer of Rebirth feat when I posted this morning, and in hindsight it does appear to be somewhat overpowered. IMO, I would either reduce the bonus granted to the death saving throws or the range of the effect; also, the cleric should have to be conscious for it to work.

Well, obviously I wouldn't have either, if I was working with (or planning to) the people who wrote it ;)

No offense to you Mouse, you know I am a fan, but I would never expect you to openly claim that something your colleagues made was stupid or broken.

So far, I've really enjoyed the vast majority of our online interaction. So I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you truly didn't realize how offensive this was going to sound.

Man. I wish there were half as many "Heal good" options for Bards as there are for clerics.

I'm playing a bard right now, and it's a struggle to keep my guys up.

I'm sorta not satisfied with my build at tho moment, tho.

I half feel you. I play an artificer and I love the classe's very versatile healing infusions(we're basically using our warlock's almost always unused healing surges to fuel everyone else), but the dearth of options outside of the EPG makes me sad when I compare my character's class to almost everyone elses.

People who know me (In RL or at least better than via these boards) would have said I was trying to be funny. Which I either wasn't or it translated poorly to the written medium. Either way, I should have thought things through, sorry about that Mouse, definitely not my intention to be offensive.

Cheers

Bards have some great healing dailes against elites and solos. I've seen fights with my party's bard where they hit the bad guy and heal, bad guy attacks them and heal... they just heal heal heal!

As it stands, we've yet to really face down any solos or elites. We're only level 3, but our DM likes to throw lots of little guys at us.
