I would suggest that they do something like releasing them for free a year after publication, or something similar like presenting a sample month of past content for at least a year back on some sort of rotating schedule. It would make for some great community goodwill.
Or allow a pay by article system. Had I been able to purchase select articles I would have happily purchased certain content, rather than sitting the edition out.
