Dragon Attacks

First Post
OK, two quick questions on dragons. I'm sure they are probably answered in the MM or some such, but my copy is loaned to a friend at the moment.

1) How many attacks per round do dragons get? Specifically, a Young Adult Black (Size L). They can use Bite, Claw (2), Wings, Breath or Tail Slap. Is it just one per round?

2) With Snatch, the above Large dragon couldn't "snatch" a Medium adventurer, but could they use bite to attempt a straight Grapple? Then, if successful, hold the victim for a breath attack the following round (no Reflex save)? Also, since the Bite attack is not really "unarmed" does the target get an AoO against the attempted grapple?

My group is in the middle of a fight with a young adult black dragon (had to quit in the middle of the fight due to time).

The dragon gets his bite, 2 claws, 2 wings, and tail attack with a full attack, or one of these, usually a bite or tail swipe, with a standard action. He may also use his breath weapon as a standard action. He cannot combine his breath weapon with a full attack.

The dragon can grapple, but cannot snatch anyone that is too large for its size. A Large dragon should not grapple in most circumstances against a group of adventurers unless he wants to die.

re: the Grapple, I was thinking of the lovely "no Reflex Save v. Breath" but you are probably right.

I am thinking the dragon would probably concentrate on the spellcaster first (he's a wand-wielding human sorcerer in a golden cloak, so he shouldn't be hard to pick out). The darkness ability should vex the archery-maxed ranger and the fighters. She (the dragon) lives in a lake-filled cavern so I'm thinking more swimming than flying. Does this make sense?

Swimming has some advantages over flying.
1. It is hard to fight under water when you aren´t used to it (like the dragon)
2. Archers will have a hard time trying to shoot something under water.
3. Most fire based spells will not work (but fear lightning bolt) and even magic missiles will be blocked.
4. Disarmed weapons can´t easily be picked up
5. Always in danger of drowning when somme fool tries to go melee with the dragon in the water.
