Dragon Disciple with caster levels?

I'd go 1/2 spellcasting progression. Otherwise, check out the DRAGONHEART MAGE from Races of the Dragon (THE reason for that book, IMHO).

Maybe someone really set on 9th level spells. I guess.

And 8th level spells, and 7th, and....

If you are only casting 5th level spells at 20th level, it hardly matters if your caster level is 17 or 10.

To clarify, I have made it full spellcasting, similar to the loremaster.

Ah, you might want to edit your original post thenm because you definitely said caster level.
