Just curious, if "they" (either WotC or Paizo) released Dungeon Magazine and Dragon Magazine in an archived format (like the 1-250 Dragon Archive CDs), would you buy them?

Speaking for myself, with the prospect of 4E looming, I'd be on them like a rat up a drainpipe!

In a heartbeat.

If they did this, it would almost make up from canceling the mags.

Almost...

Hardbacks of the other Adventure paths would finish the job.

Sure would! The archive of issues 1-250 is one of my most prized RPG resources!

Sure would buy both, but I only hope that they dont have the same legal problems that they did with the 1-250 Dragon Archives

I am pretty sure that after those initial legal problems, anyone who would be published in Dragon/Dungeon would relinquish any legal recourse in regards to reprints, pdfs, compilations, etc. I know I would if I was in charge of their Legal Dept. If someone did not want to sign this away... they would not appear in print. Easy.

I'm certain that is not true, since comments from Paizo have indicated that the comics creators maintain the rights to their works. Also, there is the period between 250 and the "problems" with the archive to consider.

Poor legal department then. For PDF's then, just blank out the non-reprintable portions. That might be even easier than trying to wrangle releases from them comic people.
