So I need some thoughts on how best to create this character.
Back Story, he is the exiled bastard of the king of a land where everyone claims dragon blood, often in the form of sorcerer but also in the form of barbarian dragon totem and eldritch heritage.
He has been living by himself for a while (survival is high) and his draconic heritage has started to emerge.
I already decided to go silver dragon, for his dragon related traits.
With the focus on dragon, his main weapons are the claws he has in rage or via bloodline, followed by the bite in his rage. Improved natural attack and Eldritch Claws plus an amulet of mighty fists (currently just icy burst property, adding vicious and +X bonus as leveling)
So, here is where I need help with building. I can either go barbarian all the way to 20 with heritage feat tree to enhance dragon qualities or at lvl 14 (12 barbarian/1 summoner) take dragon disciple.
Pro of full barb:
- Full BaB
- Higher possible HP (no d8's in the mix)
- More rage and can get higher level rages
- Heritage feats are more effective then DD bloodline (full HD-2 vs DD level)
Pro of Multiclass
- Flanking buddy (eidolon will be dragon like)
- Flanking buddy's death is not thousands of gold to replace
- Spells, yes limited, but still allows me to use certain things to my advantage (bark skin or bull's strength pre-rage)
- Stat boosts from DD, +4 STR, +2 CON, +2 INT
- Variety in skills, Adding barb, summoner, and DD skill lists gives me a lot of choice most of them appropriate for a royal figure
- Feats, DD gives me the sorcerer bloodline powers (up to Wings) without costing me feats
- Transforming into a dragon..... Need I say more?
So I am coming here for thoughts. Also any thoughts on the build in general, likes, dislikes, questions
