I was looking at Battleworks.net, where i usually buy my minis, and the rares for several of them are already listed singly for $50. Is this what happened for the first Huge set? I mean, that is a LOT to plunk down...

Nah, even several months after GoL came out, the most desirable huge rare (Huge Rare Dragon) could be bought for around $30. The prices of huge rares in WDQ should be lower, because the rares have an increased frequency (1:2 instead of 1:3) and, frankly, none even approach the level of desirability the HRD has.

What you're seeing there is pure seller greed.

Glad to hear it. I pre-ordered a case from these guys, but i sure as hell won't be buying the singles. Even small commons were expensive.
