Dragon Shaman and Senses Aura

Here's the situation: A Dragon Shaman activates their Senses Aura (+1 to Listen, Spot and Initiative) and the party enters combat, getting a +1 to their initiative.

If the SHaman swaps out the aura after the first round, do the PCs initiative change to the original initiative without the aura or does the initiative stick for the rest of combat?

I would guess that it would stick, since other things like a change in Dex bonus don't modify initiative "position" during combat, but I thought I would throw it out there for everyone.

Here's the scenario, 6th level Dragon shaman offers a +2 to initiative to all party members within 30ft:

Code:
Round 1
PC#1 Init 24 (rolls 15, Dex 16 +3, Improved Init +4, Dragon Shaman Aura +2)
PC#2 Init 20 (rolls 16, Dex 14 +2, Dragon Shaman Aura +2)
BBEG Init 19 (rolls 14, Dex 12 +1, Improved Init +4)
PC#3 Init 14 (rolls 11, Dex 12 +1, Dragon Shaman Aura +2)
Mook#1 Init 13 (rolls 13, no modifiers)

Then, on the Dragon Shaman's (PC#3) turn, they swap auras. Does it stay the same or does it look like this?

Code:
Round 2
PC#1 Init 22 (rolls 15, Dex 16 +3, Improved Init +4)
BBEG Init 19 (rolls 14, Dex 12 +1, Improved Init +4)
PC#2 Init 18 (rolls 16, Dex 14 +2)
Mook#1 Init 13 (rolls 13, no modifiers)
PC#3 Init 12 (rolls 11, Dex 12 +1)

It would stay as it was.

Do you penalize somebody's initiative count for getting hit with Dex damage? Not as per the rules.

Remember the bonus is to their initiative check, not their initiative score. Your initiative score is determined by your initiative check at the begining of combat. Just as you don't suddenly fail all of your previous balance checks decause your dex score went down, your initative score doesn't change because the check it was based on a round or two ago suddenly dropped.

This is what I thought was the case.

That senses aura is pretty good to have up when exploring the dungeon, then swap it out for something like energy shield after combat starts.

Unless you roll for Init every round, but then it wouldnt really matter anyway. Only for when the aura is active it gets the +2 when not active just roll init as normal.
