Easley and Caldwell were responsible for my hatred of most of the 2e look.

NICE! Now, if only they had gotten Easleyto do the dragon art for the interior of the DLCS.

I wonder if he did any of the interior art for the Bestiary?

The interior art of the Bestiary will blow you away. I can't tell you who the various artists are (that's Chris' department), but they're all incredibly talented. Some of the creatures in the book have previously appeared in older Dragonlance gaming material with only average B&W art, and their new full-color look really is a bonus.

One of our design goals was to take some of the goofy things Dragonlance has somehow acquired over the years and polish them up. Good art makes that a hundred times easier!

Did I mention how much I love JE's dragon paintings?

I wish I had my copy of "The art of Dragonlance" with me. His stuff with Ember and Verminnard is astounding.

I'm not a huge fan, but I don't dislike Easley's stuff, either. The Easley painting makes a great cover for a dragonlance monster book, though, and his style really defines the "dragonlance look" in my mind.

That black dragon by Jason Engle that Kai Lord put up is un-frikkin-believable, though! Thanks for that.

Easley Interiors

Actually Jeff Easley did have a few interior pieces in the DLCS, plus several in AGE OF MORTALS. He is not an interior artist for the Bestiary, though his amazing dragons grace the cover. We are using some familiar and some new artists for the interior. It should be a great-looking book, inside and out!
